What Every Bride Should Do Before Her Wedding

Getting married is one of the biggest decisions in one’s life. It is also one of the most important. Having said that, different women celebrate their weddings in different styles. The amount of work and the stress associated with planning and executing a perfect wedding is quite a lot. There are million details to look into, from at least a few months before the wedding. Even then, there are a million things attend to at the last moment. Wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, wedding themes, cakes, food and music are the usual things that brides worry about before their wedding. These do deserve a lot of attention and it is only right that they are taken quite seriously. Amidst all this, the following are some important things, but are also most likely to be forgotten.

Pay a visit to a doctor

Every bride is extremely concerned about the day of the wedding and are anxious for everything to go without a hitch. Planning a wedding can be a difficult task and at such high levels of stress, it is easy to fall sick. For this reason, it is important that she goes for her regular doctor’s appointments. Many couples also plan to go abroad for their honeymoon and therefore it is important that they arm themselves with basic medication. In addition, a bride should also visit a gynecologist before her wedding for obvious reasons. If you have a lot of questions to ask, and if you are too shy to ask them from any gynecologist, make an appointment with a female gynae.

Pack for your honeymoon

Just like a bride would not give much thought to her meeting with a female gynae, many brides also don’t give much thought to the honeymoon. Sure enough, they do think about where to go and which hotel to stay in. But many don’t take an active interest in preparing for the honeymoon. If you, even for a minute, assume that you will be spending your entire time at spas, hotels and resorts, you cannot be more mistaken. There comes a point in every honeymoon, where the couple wants nothing more than to get away from the monotony of hotels. So make sure that you take some time to think and pack appropriately for your honeymoon.

Post wedding fund

The time right after the wedding, is one of the most financially vulnerable times for a couple. Especially if there was a lot of merrymaking and a luxurious honeymoon. Therefore, make it a point to put aside money in a separate bank account at least a few months before the wedding. Let this act as your fall back cushion right after the honeymoon.
